Writing to soldiers

Writing to soldiers

My nieces husband is in the Army and is in the middle east right now. She was saying how there are a alot of guys in his unit who do not really have family and do not receive any mail or letters from anyone. We thought I could pass on his information, and if anyone was interested they could write letters and he would pass them on. She just wanted me to mention that sometimes the guys do not really write back, so she did not want anyone to feel badly if they did not get any replies, but she would have her husband let us know that the letters were received and distributes.

For anyone interested the address is :

SPC Long, Trevor J.
B CO. 94th ECB (H)
130th Eng. Brd.
APO, AE 09302

It has to be written exatly as it shows.

yabbobay.
I think you may be wrong, many join to make sure there homelife is SAFE. I personally don't know any military member who thinks a deployment is a good thing or that thinks bases (especially ARMY bases are in any cool towns, since most are in the middle of no where)

I think this is a good idea, but maybe he should talk to his CO about having the letters or packages go to his company or to any soldier rather then him and also if anyone sends carepackes be careful of what you send so not to get any of the guys in trouble. Normally sealed Candy, old magazines, and TP are great ideas.

Also, if you would like a reply send a SASE with your letter. Since it is being mailed from a APO it will just cost 37 cents. Also, your letter will just cost a regular stamp as well, but if you include a stamp there is a greater chance you may get a reply down the line!

There are many wesbites online that allow you to adopt a soldier and they will release birthdays as well so that you can send something special if you are fiancially able.

Also, please release that in case of a STOP LOSS as well as Operational Security they can't write back anything about when they might be coming home and also they probably have no clue at all!

I am praying for your friends husband as well as my own and every other member dealing with a delpoyment!
