i was thinking of donating my eggs in a year or two... i need opionns on this... do you think its a bad decision? also, do you know if it will lower my chances for getting pregnant eventually? just kinda wanted to get a feel for this.. i have been thinking about it alittle, its a new idea i had... do you think it would really help someone? ANYTHING?!?!?!?

it's a long and hard process from what I've read...they put you on fertility drugs to increase the amount of eggs you release that they take, and they stick this needle and take them out through it.... You have to go through genetic testing and history etc, medical history

I think its a wonderful thing!!! I also dont think it ruins any chances of you not being able to get pregnant at a later date...many women arent fortunate enough to produce healthy eggs..so thats an amazing thing that you are considering!

In addition to what btrflygrl said, I believe that your family medical history has to be almost pristine..and sometimes the donor cannot be of mixed ethnicity. If you get in contact with a facility that does egg donations, they should let you know what criteria you must meet in order to donate.
