w/update: Ladies - My worse fear might be coming true before my wedding
two of my wisdom teeth are kicking in. I am soooo scared that this is going to be horrrrrrrrrrrible. The last thing I want to be is on some crazy meds or have a swollen fat face :(
About 3 months ago I felt them for like 3 days, my dentist said that its too early since you couldnt see them or anything and then everything was fine. Well what do you know???? on thursday my right side starts hurting again - & i thought it would last like 2 days - Nope - I cant eat on the right side. So I'm calling the dentist at 10 and I'm going to beg with all my might for him to do something for me, (i dont want them taken out now) Jeez this really does s|uck doesnt it? I honestly hope this is going to pass (somehow)
ETA: Im going tomorrow at 8pm tomorrow - in the meantime, im going to get orajel and rinse wtih salt water - turns out my FH had an appt i didnt even know about so we're going to switch up :)

OMG!! Oh No!! I will say a prayer for you, don't worry it'll be ok! There has to be something the doctor can give you for now just to get thru this. My wisdom teeth flare up alot and i've been told to get them taken out but i'm such a big baby that I suffer thru it and I know it *****! I usually OD on Advil and rinse with Salt Water alot. I chew on ice cubes too. Awwwwwwwwwwwww

OMG Gabbie.. I have the same fear too!!! I will pray that the pain goes away...Maybe you can take pain meds now for the it and hopefully the pain will subside. It tends to do that. Like you said you felt it 3 months ago and then it stopped. Maybe it'll stop again.

Definitely call the dentist!!!! You can get them out when you get back from the honeymoon but at least they'll be able to give you something for the pain. Good luck!!!!!

omg that is exactly why i had mine pulled! i was so afraid of them acting up around the wedding - so i finally got them extracted - otherwise id still have them! all 4 of my wisdom teeth were impacted but the bottom two would almost break the skin and my gums would turn white and they would kill me for a few days and then they would go back down and then nothing would happen for a few weeks, sometimes months, and then it would happen again....is this what is happening to you? if it is, they might settle down and go back to normal - if its impacted i dont think you can have it extracted now - i was really really swollen after mine (i also had 3 done at once, but even when i had the first one done a few years prior i was swollen) - i wouldnt chance that before the wedding - maybe they can give you some pain meds for it? or maybe if its already grown out you can have it pulled? there would be less swelling since they wouldnt be cutting your gums open right? ill say a prayer for you!!

Im sure the pain will go away. It happens to me sometimes and than goes away. Make sure you take a advil every night before you go to sleep..that will stop the swelling...

Try the salt- I've heard that helps.... also take tylenol will help too. Maybe the DR> can give you something stronger if they are really bothering you... FEEL BETTER!!!

OMG...not good! Go to the dentist and see what they say.
I do want to add that I think the pain will be gone within a few days. My lower wisdom teeth have been coming in for 5 years. One has peeked thru and the other has not peeked thru. (Had top ones out...still need bottom ones out!)
Anyway I have run to the doctor probably 4 times in the past few years...in severe pain....and everytime the pain goes away in a few days!! So hopefully the same will happen for you!!!! Let us know what happens!!!!

Oh no, that's horrible! Maybe the pain will stop...that tends to happen with wisdom teeth, you feel pain in spurts...

oh no! definitely try to orajel if it's hurting you. I've heard of people crushing up pain killers, like ibuprofen and rubbing it over the gums....not sure if it works or not (i'm sure it'll taste nasty though)
I am kind of in the same situation...one wisdom tooth erupted after i found out i was pregnant and it's not growing in quite straight. it's growing out slightly outwards (towards my cheeck). So far, it doesn't hurt...but I don't think I can even get them out now if I wanted because I can't take anything more than tylenol and I know I'll need some STRONG stuff.
