WW Flex Explained

WW Flex Explained

I went to the meeting yesterday and this is the breakdown of it. (I will use my point range for example)

Instead of the range of points that they were using before such as
Under 150 lbs: 18-23 points

It is now: Under 150 lbs: 20 points a day

There are no more ranges, just a points target.

In addition to the point target you have for the day, you have 35 flex points that you may use for the week if you want to. You may not carry them over to the next week.

The new journal to track the points is like a checkbook, where you subtract your points used and you cross out the flex points you use as you use them. You add points for any activity points you earned.

I hear that certain foods have changed points, but most are the same. In the booklet they give you lists the 0 point veggies, ect.

Any questions?

Thanks! WW on-line is a little different with the flex but it seems just as easy.

But this is stupid... It means that if you shoot for 20 pts, you're starving, but then you can use up to 5 extra points per day!!! and They changed the weight ranges too, no?

B/c if I'll be eating 20 pts per day and then extra 5 pts, I would be having 25 points daily vs. the maximum of 23 points!!! Makes no sense why this is better!!!

I think the reason for this is that many people can have one bad meal a week or eat an extra 2 points a day and still lose. I know I do, but only up to that amount. If I eat more than that I will not lose or I will gain.

I was told last night by my leader that pizza is now only 6 points and uncooked carrots are 0 points again!

In the little book they give you it lists the 0 point veggies and the leader made a point to say that carrots are NOT on that list. I feel if you have one or two carrots fine, but they are high in sugar, and they will add up to points.

As far as the pizza goes that is one slice of a 12 inch pie, NOT a regular 18' pie so be careful. It also shows pictures in the book of what a thin crust, thick crust pizza looks like so its easier to determine what they consider what.

The leader also stated that if lets say you weigh in on sunday and you ate all of your 35 flex points on saturday, you may show a gain, so dont feel that the flex points are a hoax.

I had a WW leader that unofficially promoted a 60 point day, similar to what you are talking about now.
