I have been doing WW since January. I am hoping once I hit lifetime to become a leader. Here is what I have done to help me in my loss:
Journal, journal journal.
It is so important to journal. You see what you are eating, how many points and it makes you more aware of the food intake. It really helps put things into perspective.
If you feel funny about journaling, get the bracelet. I cant tell you how many times people thought it was a really classy bracelet. I just smile.
Dont be embarresed about being on WW. Be proud of yourself. You are developing healthy eating habbits. I have gone into Boston Market and asked to see a nutritional fact sheet so I could do my points, I always take my slider to the supermarket, and it helps so much. When you see how many points something is worth, you start to ask yourself, is having that item worth it. Its X amount of points, would I rather have that or a bigger portion at dinner and a dessert. You start to develop really good eating habbits.
drink at least 8 glasses of water. If you get tired of water, add a slice of lemon, drink diet soda (no points), tea, or black coffee.
Eat fruit. Its 1 point and its a great snack. If you have a salt craving 15 small pretzles are 3 points.
Salads healthy and zero points, but its what goes on the salad where the points add up. dressing, croutons, bacon bits, and even olives they are all points and can turn that zero point salad into a high point salad.
Eat salad with dinner. It will fill you up with your meal.
Try and drink water with your meals. It too will help in making you feel full.
Dont deprive yourself of anything. If you want a chocolate bar, have it, but remember to add in your points. Flex points are a great thing.
Allow yourself one 'cheat' day. Maybe the day you weigh in, allow yourself that one day to indulge in stuff you love. I love cheesecake and my weigh in day is the day I have a slice of cheesecake. So many points, but so worth it. Then I have a week to do good. So allowing yourself that one day is like a reward, a treat. something to look forward too.
Dont worry, dont get discouraged. You can do it.
If you can do this you can do anything
