WW- how is everyone doing?

WW- how is everyone doing?

I dont weigh in again until Wednesday. I am trying not to weigh myself at home. Weekends are harder than the week for me! I have not been using my 35 flex points at all. I wonder if I should be using them more...
Hope everyone else is doing well!

Ugh..... I used all my flex points by Sat afternoon. I haven't gone over in points at all since then (ha- it's only been a day). I weigh in on Tuesday evening - if I lost ANY weight - then ANYTHING is possible (GOD - I was such a pig this weekend). At least I did work out quite a bit....

Good Luck everyone!

Re: WW- how is everyone doing?-frustrated!

I am so frustrated. I had a great loss my first week, but I dont think I lost anything this week. I havent even used any flex points. (Could that be the issue?) I dont weigh in until Wednesday, but I dont feel great. I weighed myself and I havent lost anything.

I've learned that just because the scale doesnt move doesnt mean your not losing so to speak. You could be losing inches. Yesterday was horrible for me, there was no food in the house because we didnt do shopping over the weekend so not only did I eat crap and go over my daily points but used tons of my flex too. I did go shopping last night though and spent this morning figuring out points and writing on the boxes. I also had one of those smart ones for dinner last night and it was surprisingly good. Wauldbaums has them on sale for 2/$4 and 2/$6 depending on the food. Im sure by next week all us WW newbies will have it together. Just gotta stay focused right?

Great first week, lost 4 lbs, this is my 2nd week and the weekend was a freaking minefield. Officially no flex points left (I weigh in on Thursday). Ugh. But , I did manage to continue getting to the gym. I'm trying REALLY hard to remember that slow and steady wins the race....

We can do this.

didn't do so good last week (i weigh in on fridays) but i'm feeling good about this week. i didn't pig out as much as normal on the weekend. it's definitely been slow progress for me, i've never lost more than 1.5 pounds in a week, but i'm only 6 pounds away from my goal now!

also i think you are supposed to be eating all those flex points. i seem to remember someone saying something about that and something about by not using them your body may go into 'starvation mode' and you'll actually gain weight...

Re: WW- how is everyone doing?

to make up for my flex points and to make sure I do not cheat, I allow myslef one night a week to eat whatever I want- this is usually Sat. night. I know it is kind of my own rule, but it works for me, I did this 2 yrs. ago when I lost 65 pounds.

I brought this up at my first meeting and they told me that if I dont want to use them dont worry about it, you dont have to. If you go under your target points(atleast need 20per day)your body will go into starvation mode.

Re: WW- how is everyone doing?

You don't have to eat the flex points if you don't want them. The thing is everyone is different and if you have 20 people in a meeting, you could get 20 different answers on what works for people. If you are stuck and not losing, try not using the flex points. If you still aren't losing, try using some of them and see what works best for you. It may depend on how much you are exercising and it may depend on the types of foods you are eating. I always say that if I don't get the proper balance of foods (if I don't get the milks and veggies in), I will not lose, even if I stay within my points for the week. 24 points of bread a day is not going to help me lose weight! And even after losing 30 pounds, I still struggle with this.
