WW question

I am thinkin of signing up for the WW AT WORK program. But, the time of the scheduled meetings is also the time of a departmental staff meeting that cant be changed. so, basically, i will be missing the meeting every other week.

is it worth it?

i appreciate the feedback.

thanks

Re: WW question

I found it REALLY helped me to get weighed in every single week. but then again, each person is different so missing every other week might not be a big deal to you. You can always weigh in at home.

No matter what, I think, WW is a great plan to follow. So you might want to give it a try anyway.

Re: WW question

I think it might be better for you to join outside of work...The meetings really help people and if you are going to miss the meetings, then whats the difference between ww at work and just plain old eating healthy...The cost is the same either way as far as I know

Re: WW question

I find going to the meetings very helpful and found getting weighed every week very helpful too, the convenience of having it at work is a great perk, but if you don't want to be missing the meetings every other week, its actual a little cheaper if join outside of work. You get charged more for the at work program

Re: WW question

i signed up for weight watchers online and it has been working for me. I didn't want to actually go to meetings so I just track everything online and weight myself weekly. It def works, but if you think you need more motivation by having ppl weigh you in I would do the work program...going every other week is better than not going at all!

Re: WW question

I'm with Gaby on this one.

The At Work program is great for the convenience. BUT, if you're going to miss half of the meetings, then it's not going to be as beneficial to you. Also, with the At Work, you pay for the full 12 weeks in advance, so you'll be paying for 6 weeks that you're not using.

UNLESS, you decide to go to a center meeting on your off-weeks. As an At Work member, you can go to a center meeting on the weeks that you can't make it to the At Work meeting. Just make sure to bring your weigh in book.

ETA: Just to comment on what Teri said about pricing. This is not necessarily true. As an At Work member, you pay the regular $12 per week fee, but all at once. But it's the same price if you were a center member paying the weekly fee. BUT as a center member, you also have two other payment options that are less expensive on a 'per-week' basis, the 10-week prepay ($109 for 10 weeks) or the monthly pass ($39.95 for the month).

Re: WW question

Totally worth going to the meetings. If you can't meet at work, try meeting outside of work. I find it to be a source of encouragement, information and fun!!

I have been on it for the last 6 weeks and have lost 9.4 lbs. Yippie!!!
