How many points do you get for different excersise. I dont see anything except walking for 30min. is 3pts. What about abs? Treadmill? Bike riding? Step Class? How do you figure out the points? If you use your target points and then get back points for exercise do you have to use them up too?

Re: WW question as far as activity points
I think week 3 you get your activity points scale. I'll give you an example, 25 minutes on treadmill at high energy is 3 activity points, I'll then do 20 minutes of toning, ie situps, for an extra point.

If you just signed up, you don't have that info yet. They give you the exercise slide rule on week 3- they want you to get used to the program and lose some weight before you start eating activity points.
The exercise info (a booklet and another slide rule) gives you all of that - type of activity and how to count activity points. It is based on your weight, length of time you exercise and intensity of activity.

Oh, okay. What about when you do get those points back for excersing? I've heard you shouldn't not use all your target points and if your activity points add to them do you eat more? and isn't that defeating the purpose if you do?

Here is an online calculator to determine how many calories you've burned
Although it varies by level of intensity, your weight, etc., I've heard that approximately 100 calories burned equals 1 activity point.

Re: WW question as far as activity points
Capulet, everyone's body is different. Some people in my meeting say that they don't lose if they eat the Flex points or activity points. Others who exercise intensely say if they don't eat some of the flex or activity points, they don't lose. The best thing to do I think is try to stick with the daily total and if you feel like you need the extra points, use them. You might lose faster if you don't use the extra points, but for me, it would have been tough to stick with it if I never used them. I would say don't eat the Activity points at first and see how it goes. If your feel like you are following program and are still hungry, then dip into them.
Personally, I just don't think I was ever able to make it through a week without using flex points. Generally, on most weeks, I try to use the Flex points and not the activity points. That is what seems to work best for me. Also, I am not a big exercise buff, so I don't usually earn more than 4-6 activity points a week anyway. You have to exercise quite a bit to earn a decent amount of them.

Re: WW question as far as activity points
Okay, well that's good to know too. See I used be addicted to the gym a few years ago, but after alot of circumstances and the weight packing on I just lost interest. Now I have a treadmill but hardly use it because I just dont seem to find the time. So it's good to know that you can still lose weight without it or very little of it.
