WWYD?
Not satisfied with one of my vendors at the wedding but not really asking for money back. Short story is -- owner of the company was supposed to be the MC, didn't show up and sent a replacement that did a passable job. The owner called the caterer, not me the client and person who signed the contract, to call in sick. Nor did the owner call me the day after the wedding, or even weeks after the wedding, or send a letter, nothing. We still had an MC, just a really unprepared one, so I wouldn't ask for money back. But I still had expected some sort of call from the owner who was a no-show.Would you call the owner and ask what happened? Would you just let it go and just give a not-so-great review?
TIA!

Re: WWYD?
I would just let it go. If you are not asking for money then why bother.

I agree with the ladies above why bother let it go. The only thing you are going to get out of it is hearing a BS story from the owner that may work you up for nothing.

i disagree only because you may not get anything out of it....but what about that future bride that he does the same thing to? maybe he didnt want to stress you out, or was just a bone head.....but it may help someone in the future that you called him out on it.

I'd let it go. The wedding is over who wants more stress?

Yeah unless you are going to make a stink about the money then dont bother but word of mouth is the best way to get even ... write a review

Re: WWYD?
The only reason I may consider calling him is to find out why he called your caterer not you.It may have been because he didn't want to stress you on your wedding day since he was sending a replacement. He may have figured he couldn't change it, so why stress you out? Some people believe they shouldn't tell the bride anything stressful and it's better for other people to take care of it.
I would want to know if he told my caterer and not me to try to help me or because he was being a coward. This would effect my review of the vendor and I would want to reflect the situation in the most accurate way since other brides would be relying on it.

Re: WWYD?
I would write a letter to the vendor expressing your disappointment and concern for his unprofessional behavior and leave it at that. That way, you can walk away with the satisfaction that your issues were heard.

I completely agree. I wouldn't call per se if you are not going to try to get a refund, but if he is not made aware of his actions, there is nothing to stop him from doing this again in the future. So I think a letter and an honest review would suffice.
