We're getting married at the RH. Our RH told us we can have a rehearsal the Wednesday before our wedding, no problem. I tried to schedule it a while back and they said to wait until I picked my menu. Ok, fine. I picked my menu this past Tuesday and asked about the rehearsal. They looked it up in the book and said it needed to be done at 5:00 b/c they had a party at 6. I said I can't do it at 5 b/c people work and I didn't want to ask people to take off/leave early on a Wednesday (our wedding is on a Friday so some BP members already have to take off).
SO, my question to you lovely ladies is...
Would you still do the dinner on Wednesday w/ no rehearsal or just not have a RD at all?? FIL's are not contributing to the wedding (that's a whole other story...they have plentyyy of money) but the one thing they were going to do was a RD. Opinions??

Re: WWYD
You probably don't need the rehearsal, but as for the dinner, if you think it would be nice, then have one!

Re: WWYD
What about having it on Tuesday night? If FIL's offered to pay for the RD, I would have a dinner anyway, just to have a quick recap of everything going on for the wedding and also to have some good food and drinks with the people closest to you!

Re: WWYD
i'm in a similar boat and will not be having a rehearsal or a dinner ... plus, with my BP, it's difficult to get everyone together (everyone has opposite schedules)
it's really not necessary to have a dinner, but if you can do it, then go for it

The RH told me only Wednesday or Thursday (Thursday is the day before the wedding so I DEF don't wanna do that).
Thanks girls. We will probably have just the dinner on Wednesday. It will be nice to have everyone together and for my girls to meet his guys (some have never met) and a chance to give the BP their gifts.

Re: WWYD
I am not doing an actual rehearsal - just a brief run through day of. We are still having a rehearsal dinner. Its a nice way to thank the BP, unwind, give gifts ...

Re: WWYD
dinner, no rehearsal. just go over everything with the BP at the rehearsal dinner- tell them who's paired up with who and to wait till the couple before them is to a certain point before they start (but you'll have someone telling them when to go anyway) um, remind them how to hold onto each other (my mothers biggest issue- she insists the guys present their arm and the woman take it gracefully) and basically anything else you'd do during a rehearsal...
the dinner is nice because you are with everyone from the BP and you are treating them to dinner as a thank you and giving gifts (if you are) and its really nice.
