IDK why my church was double booked, meanwhile I called like 1 month after we got engaged to book the church, and we were the first ones.....
I booked it for 3:00pm....with a 6:00pm cocktail...
I called today to make an appt with the priest and get the directions faxed to me for the invites, and shes like yes you are all set for 2:30? I said ummm no its 3? 'no no we have you 2:30, we have another wedding at 4:00 so you can't be 3'..
I can't even argue because shes in teh church and I feel bad yelling at a church lady.....whatever.
I called NRC to see if I can move CH up a half hour, to 5:30 (which means they will open the doors around 5:15)........
would you leave it for 6:00 start? or would you bump it up to 5:30 and have the reception start at 7?? move the reception to 6:30-11:30??
HELP
ETA: hospitality will be around 445ish

would have the ceremony at 2:30 and leave CH as is. It's only a half hour no one will know the difference and then you have extra time for pics and some relax time in the bridal suite.

oops forgot to add, don't really want people looking and driving around for a place to go after the church while we go to take pics.....a lot of my family and FH is from Brooklyn, so its not like they can go back home or what not.

I would just leave it..... if it makes you feel any better my ceremony is at 3pm in Whitestone and our Ch starts at 730 in Lindenhurst. We have tons of people from queens, NJ and W. Nassau. People will figure out what to do! That is the least of your worries, its only 30 minutes!

I would leave the start time. a half hour is not much time. Are you having a full mass, then the receiving line - it takes a lot of time.
My Church is at 3 and our CH starts at 7

YEs we are having receiving line, but I am guessing we will be out of there by 330......about 40 minutes for ceremony and 20 for receiving? especially since there is a wedding starting at 4 and they need to set up

My church is at 2pm, CH at 6pm. Only a 20 min drive. I would leave it.
