I got a call from my DJ today about my entertainment package. We are using a really great guy for part of my entertainment and the DJ wants to video tape it to use as promotions on his website and when people come in. I am really excited about it, but part of me is nervous about his video people being in the way. He is super proffessional and has been great to work with and has great reviews and he PROMISED a really great video (he will give me a copy 2 days after my wedding!!). I also think it would be kinda cool to show the future rich's and angela's later on in life lol.....would u be OK with this if your vendor asked??

i think he should throw something in or take of a few bucks.. he will be using for advertising.. to bring oin money!

I would TOTALLY do it, but let your Banquet Manager know its happening and give him final veto power on the video guys if they're being obtrusive, that way you/your bridal party don't have to babysit them!!

if i remember correctly we pretty much have the highest package....i'm not sure i have to call him tomorrow....if we don't i'm just going to ask him to throw stuff in instead of discounting--he already gave us a great price because my sister booked for her november wedding too, ya know?? I wouldn't volunteer for it, personally - not for free anyway.
Also, are his video guys insured? If not, your hall likely won't allow it.
I don't want to be in anyone's ads. Professionally, I'd prefer for clients / coworkers / etc. not to see that. My wedding is private, and while I'd be flattered, I'd decline.
Sure, I know the photographer's can use the pics and etc., etc. I'm just saying I wouldn't volunteer to be the subject of their advertising - and certainly not for free.
That's just me, though. I'm sure other people would love the idea.
