Wyndham Windwatch hotel.....

I read in the newspaper the other day that they are being bought out by hyatt. They plan to raise the hotel rate more than a $100 per night and they are scheduling millions of dollars worth of renovations. My catering hall which is not affiliated with the hotel is right next door. Im worried about how the construction will look by the time next october comes....

Oh, good idea. They must have some clue when construction is set to begin and end.

I am booking them this week for the OOT guests. I heard the news two weeks ago and asked how the hotel will be affected. They said that most improvements will be to the catering facilites. I think they mean they will be upgrading the dishes etc. They did say that it would not be major construction. I hope they're being honest...

I hope not!!! Plus isnt the hotel fairly new anyway? I just hope out of all the upgrades, they finally get shuttle service for OOT guests!!

They do a shuttle service to McArthur and the train station, but that's it. I was hoping they would have one for the reception too, but not many hotels do!

They are not doing any construction to the hotel that is what they told me today!! And all of the staff is staying. The only thing changing is the name. We already blocked out rooms so I am not sure about the price.

All of the upgrades are going to be internal like high speed internet, etc. Probably won't be changing the outside much. We're having our wedding at the Hamlet this October and blocked rooms there, its been a little confusing for the guests so far with the name change, but they're been great so far.
