Since we are all getting married in the coming year and saving our pennies...how elaborate or simple of a gift is everyone planning on getting your FH?
FH says he does not want to exchange, but I still want to give him something.
I was almost thinking of starting a scrap book, starting from our engagement. and then as more events occur, we both can create new pages together.
Sound good?

that's a cute idea. I made a scrapbook when we first started dating and it's full- maybe we should start a new one. As for presents- maybe just some clothes- nothing huge- we want a HOUSE!!

Same here.... we are trying to save every single penny.... but I'm going to be so sad if I wake up Christmas morning to an empty tree. I told my FH to wrap up slipper or PJ's ANYTHINGGGG LOL!!!! Well, I dont want to go crazy- but I do want to exchange something small.... even if it is only slippers lol We have a wedding to pay for ahhhhhhh

i like the personal scrap book idea!
we are saving our money, so just something small, like a small donation to our favorite charities. i feel like we are spending so much on ourselves this year and next, it would be nice to do something for others.

I think the scrapbook idea is great.
I'm going to try and buy my FH wedding related items like some nice cuff links but knowing him he will just want video games and shoes.

I think the scrapbook is really cute, we've done stuff like that in the past.
Our situation is tricky, because we're a feast or famine kind of relationship. Our anniversary, Christmas, Vday, and my bday all fall within 3 months of each other. This year, we didn't exchange anything for our anniversary, didn't even go to dinner. Christmas we will prolly do a decent yet practical gift to make up for the skipped anniversary. FH needs fog lights or a new car horn, and I need winter tires, so it may be a very automotively inclined xmas. We'll prolly skip vday as well, and maybe just go to dinner for my bday. We have to save anywhere we can.

We have a $100 limit. Not really sure what I will get FH yet. His bday is coming and I got him a watch box holder (he's obsessed with watches) and I got him a game for his xbox (Call of Duty 5). My bday is coming so I am curious to see what he will get me.

We are saving every penny too, so we just kept it at a 50 min... We're cutting down our normal X-mas budget as well...

we too are coutning every single penny... so we are gonna exchange something pratical and less than $50..... our anniversary is the end of Nov, Christmas and then my bday is 2 days after Christmas so all three will be grouped together this year
