X-post 06- what do I do about this...table seating problem

Hey ladies. hope you all had an enjoyable weekend.

I have a 'problem' with my seating arrangements.

basically it comes down to this- we invited MORE people from fh's side, but LESS people are coming from his side, almost a 60/40 split.

we are just BARELY making our minimum (104). 'my' side of the room, the tables are ok, with 10-12 people at each table.

fh's side is a disaster at the moment. head table has 11, which is fine, but the rest have bet. 6-9

I am trying really hard to keep people together, and I can't really combine any tables, b/c then one would be too full, but does having such large tables with only 6 people at them look ridiculous...and will the people feel weird...especially given that the tables across the room will be full...

this makes me feel badly. I don't know what to do.

Call your RH and ask them if they have any tables bigger then 12 people. I was putting a table arrangement together this past weekend and I had the same problem with a few tables and I called my RH and they told me that they have 3 tables that seat 14 people for this reason. That was exactly what I needed - 3 tables to combine the 6 table together. And now I am saving on CP's as well. Good Luck!!!!

Can you combine the people that are sitting 6 to a table with another 6 person table?

I agree. A lot of halls do offer larger tables. Your probable better off doing that than puttingonly 6 people at a table.
