x-post: Advice for Inn at NHP ladies, re: menu

Hi Ladies! I'm working on my review, but in case it isn't up in time I wanted to let you know that for our menu selection we went with the Porterhouse steak instead of the filet - it was such a hit!! People really liked seeing Porterhouse on the menu - its different since most RHs only offer a fliet - and it includes a filet. Really, a porterhouse is a filet and a strip steak. Steak lovers were impressed and my BIL said it was the best steak he ever had - at a wedding or otherwise. So, I just wanted to put that out there since it was something we were unsure of in advance of our menu selection! Feel free to FM me with any questions otherwise . . .

More unsolicited advice -

PLEASE - for at least the week leading up to your wedding:
1) wash your hands NON-STOP
2) eat bland, homemade food that you prepare and cook - please do not eat out

Maybe had I followed my own advice DH and I could have actually eaten at our wedding instead of had a stomach flu . . . the DAY OF!!!! Disaster. We tried to keep it together, but just didn't get to enjoy any of the yummy food. Everyone said they couldn't tell we were sick, but we were both so blech!

FYI-- Fh is a chef-- he said NHP Inn has the best food he has EVER had at a wedding hands down!
