Re: x-post: Anyone have a good recipe for apple pie?
i made a healthy apple pie dessert last night its from hungrygirl, its going to sound weird but it was AMAZING!!! its apple pie in a cup:
you chop a small apple and place in a mug or small bowl and pour in about 10-15 hot tamales and microwave. she said to microwave it only a few seconds to get the tamales to melt but i found that 2 mins in the microwave worked best. just stir it around the tamales are going to make a bright red syrup, then stir in a shake of cinnamon sugar and top with a dollap of fat free whipped cream. i know it sounds bizarre but i swear it tasted just like hot apple pie (minus the crust) and its like 40 calorie dessert!
