Yesterday I asked if anyone had ever used them or had any reviews and I was told that they had heard bad things, but I just checked them in the bridal review board and the only negative comment was that they didn't drive upto the door at CLM, but the bride felt that they thought they couldn't fit. All the others raved about the company... but I also found a lot of threads warning about them, but it was 'I heard they're not good' so has anyone actually used them and had a bad experience? or can someone link me to a thread about a bad experience? FH and I are likely meeting with them on Friday, If the price is right we'll likely book (as long as our gut tells us they're good)... but if they're as bad as someone like 'em and vee' then I'd like to be fully prepared.
thanks again girls!

Re: x-post bhb; asking again... 'the party ride'???
if your going with your gut then why ask for reviews anyway... there are going to be good and bad with every company.
I told you what I saw, it was the truth... personally that would be enought for me to steer clear but to each their own....

what I feel from a sales person is likely going to sell me... but if the DRIVERS are a problem I'd like to be able to discuss that with the sales person to see how they respond.
I appreciate your post yesterday, did you find out if the driver was drinking?

no... but does it matter he was still driving like a lunatic enough to make me question it.... and the sales guy is going to tell you what you want to hear... he's a sales guy that's what they do.
Also my father owned a limo company for 15 years. If the DRIVERS are a problem then it is the sales guy or owners problem. The company is only as good as the people operating the vehicles and dealing with the clients

The sales person can't guarantee you a specific driver. Can they say they can.. of course but in reality can they... no.
I'd worry about the customer service first and the drivers second. A company that has good customer service and managers aren't going to hire bad drivers anyway.

we've looked at several places, most companies we either can't afford or they didn't have a big enough vehicle (or their vehicle wasn't white, and thats one of the things FH wants) the only place we found thats in our budget has some HORRIBLE reviews, like showing up 5 minutes before they're supposed to be at the church, taking the guests to the wrong hall, getting nasty with the bride, charging extra $$....
I understand most companies have a handful of bad reviews, but there should be at least one or two good to offset the bad, this company (not party ride) had ALL bad reviews, not one good one...

Sorry if this comes off rude but why would you spend your hard earned money on any company with just OK reviews or some good to off set the bad.
Maybe you should get 2 cars from a decent company and skip the bus or get a different color bus. I mean is white more important than throwing your money towards some s hitty company who doesn't deserve it??
They are probably cheaper and more affordable BC they have bad reviews and have to make up for it somewhere.

why would you want to book a company who has all bad reviews. there has to be other places out there. dont waste your time or money... otherwise you'll be complaining after your wedding and there's nothing you can do about it then.

oh no... thats not what I meant. I'm interested in the party ride, I asked yesterday and only soontobecruz gave a negative review (which I appreciate) others said that some of the brides on here had bad experiences, but no one had details... The company that I was talking about above was elite limo they had all bad reviews, not one good one... meanwhile on the brides review the party ride had all good reviews. a friend of a friend of mine has used the party ride several times and never once had an issue.

we want to keep everyone together because our BP is all couples and family, we never wanted 2 vehicles, and I really want a bus. The color is important to FH (although I'm pushing for pink)... it was the 'deal breaker' on getting a bus, because he didn't want one, but he said as long as its white he'll do it. I haven't actually gotten any quotes from the party ride yet, only other companies, so I don't even know if they are cheaper. I was using another company as an example. But like I said, your experience with them driving on the LIE is the only story I've heard thats bad. Every company has its ups and downs...

it looks like they are an official vendor on here, so chances are if there are negative posts about them, they have been removed.
