x post--colors and opinions needed!

So my reception is at the Crest Hollow COuntry Club (emerald room) and my BM are wearing plum (deep purple). Im trying to get an idea of how the room will look before meeting w florists...
how does this sound to you
white linens
white chair covers with (black or white or ivory sashes) which do you think?
white and purple flowers centerpieces.
i was htinking of incorporating black bc its just classy with the black sashes but for those of you who have been in there will it look funny with all the gold railings etc. ??
also i was htinking purple or amber(natural) uplighting

That sounds like it would look nice. I'm going to a wedding in the emerald room at CHCC in a few weeks. I can report back and let you know how they had it decorated.

I went to the wedding last weekend and the gold railings were not overwhelming at all. Since they keep the lights dim, I really don't think anything would clash no matter what colors you choose. They had the white chair covers with black sashes and it looked really nice. Everything was great!
