I have heard great things about Bravo Sounds. I think the price is great...I paid $2600 for my DJ!
6 hours, including CH
Percussionist
Intelligent Lights

Your quote sounds great and you really don't want to skimp out on music, if you heard everything you love - go for it! IMO, this is not a place to look for bargains.

Never skimp on your DJ, it is probably the most important element of a good party. The price is not bad at all. We're paying $1900. If you like them, go for it... just cut back on somehting that doesn't mean so much to you.

Go for it if you can afford it! I don't think it is bad -- we are actually paying a good bit more than that. We're getting a lot of extras though -- steel drum band at CH hour, 2 live pieces for ceremony music, keyboardist and sax playing at reception, along with dj and mc and lights.

I was nervous about it too but Mommy keeps telling me that music and food make a wedding. You want someone you and hubbty are comfortable with so that you don't need to worry about anything on the day of. that's what ultimately made us go with ours.

We paid under $1000 for a basic package - one DJ, no lights or giveaways for the CH and reception. I just couldn't see spending more than that. He did a fantastic job, people were dancing all night and I don't want to offend anyone, but I don't see how spending an extra $1000 makes the party that much better. Maybe I just have simpler tastes than most people. I do think they try to cash in on weddings and pressure you to think you need all those extras. If you really click with the DJ, and you are willing to spend the $, the price you got doesn't seem outrageous.

If you are looking for someone who speaks Spanish, it may limit you a bit, but I would say that I definitely wouldn't pay any more than $1500. JMO.
