I did have a dj, but depends on what type of eparty you do. Ive attended e-parties that were just dinner or lunch with no dj and it was fine. Just depends on your vision for the party.

If you are having your E-party at a hall, I would suggest a DJ. If you have already booked a DJ for your wedding, maybe they can give you a good deal.

We had our E-party out FH's parents house. (BBQ). FFIL & FBIL have a band so we hooked up an IPod to a speaker and downloaded like a million songs. It was perfect. We had so much fun.

I had a brunch at my dad's country club. I just made a few mixed cd's for background music. There wasn't any dancing or anything, but it seemed like everyone had a really good time.

oh then i wouldnt even worry. If its a sit down lunch at a restaurant i dont think you need a dj. Background music is fine.

there will not be a DJ at my brunch but the restaurant has 'MUZAK' so I will choose a station to play during the party.

My engagement party was a sit-down lunch on a Sunday afternoon. I didn't have music at my party, and looking back on it, I really wish I did. We actually tried hooking up our cd player and speakers, but the speakers didn't carry very far.

If I could do it over again, I'd probably hire a pianist to have some background music rather than a DJ.

We did not have a DJ for our e-party because it was an afternoon luncheon and I didn't want it to be like a wedding. We had over 100 people and they all mingled and talked. We hooked up our Ipod to thespeaker system at the places and just had background music. It was fantastic

Depends on the type of party. I had one at mine.

I did have a DJ. I think it depends on the setting. Some people have engagment brunches or dinners which are just a sit down meal with less people, and then a DJ isnt neccasary. But if it is a big party then a DJ is a great idea
