X-post: First look for an afternoon wedding?

Did anyone do the first look and have an afternoon ceremony time?

I am kind of thinking about it...but my ceremony is at 1 so we would need to be ready to leave by 10am...so start getting ready by like 6 or 7.

Did anyone do this?? How did it work out?

what is a first look?

My ceremony is at 11 30 and i am seeing FH before for pics. We will have to start getting ready early but it will be worth it i think because i don't want to miss our cocktail hour.

I am taking pics at my hall becasue they have a big garden. I am contemplating going up to Northport harbor but I think that might be too much for an early wedding.

MIne has a garden area too...but our ceremony space overlooks the garden and I wouldn't want the incoming guests seeing us. So complicated!!!

We are and my ceremony and reception are at the same place to make it easy on us. The ceremony start time is at 12:30 so we are starting our pictures at 10-10:30 to be done by 12:00 so we can hang in the bridal suite till show time.

We had an evening ceremony time so I don't even know if this helps lol...But I'm contributing

We got ready by 3pm - and then had our first look at the hotel. Following that, we went to our place that we took pictures (Northport Harbor), and then went back to the hall with about an hour left before the ceremony. Gave us some time to relax, etc. It worked out perfectly

My hair dresser shows up at the hotel next door at 6am, MU at 7am then photographer comes by 8:30 to take pics of getting ready. At 9am FH and groomsman show up to get their photos done and then at 10am we do our photos together, so by 12:00 we are done and can party the rest of the day.

We did not want to take photos after the cermony cause we wanted to go to CH. So we decided to just get it out of the way

I'm not mkaing it mandatory for my girls to have their hair and make up done. So it will depend on how many people will be getting hair & Makeup done. We are leaving our hotel at 8:30 - I will be letting the hair & makeup people know we need to be done by 8 am, and they can let me know what time we need to start.
