x post: Help! Song during Ceremony

Without consulting me, FH asked his cousin to sing a song during the wedding. She wants to sing 'The Wedding Song' by Peter, Paul and Mary....which, no offense to anyone, reminded me of Puff the Magic Dragon when we played it on YouTube.

I'm trying DESPERATELY to get out of her singing this. I'm getting married at the North Ritz Club, hoping for an outdoor ceremony. I know I've seen some people post about local ordinances that you can have live but not amplified music. Anyone know if this is true in Syosset?

Keeping my fingers crossed that this is true.

Just lie and say that it's not allowed. That you called and asked about noise regulations and they were very sorry to inform you that it's not allowed.

No one will call and check. And even if they do and find out it's allowed, then you can blame the fake person you called about the whole ordeal.

Oh hell yea. This is what id say.. omg that would be wolnderful, but RH told me its not allowed!! Can u believe that sh!t?? Something about having only approved vendors/performers allowed?? I'm gonna contact the owner about this!!
