Re: x post - Honeymoon Registry...
We went through honeyfund.com it was great.. You create a site...(the free one was just fine) and put on it things you want ... from airfare to snorkeling or what ever (they give you examples) and when a guest gives... the money goes right into a paypal account...and the guest gets a 'gift certificate' to print out and give to you. THe only fee's are the paypal ones to withdraw the money so it's minimal.

Re: x post - Honeymoon Registry...
theres no 7% fee that gets decucted from the guests gift? most of the sites have that - paypal is only 3% I think. ... that might be a good site then!

Re: x post - Honeymoon Registry...
We used Traveler's Joy because our friends had used them and it was extremely well-regarded and professional.
They do take off 7% for their fee, but if you think about it, that's less than tax if someone buys you a present!!!
Plus your guests never see that -- it comes off on your end.
There is no other fees, and you can set your prices however you want so, let's say museum tickets would normally cost you $15, you can put them on there for $20 so you get enough to cover even with the % off.
Also, you make up everything you put on it, and you don't have to use the money for those exact items if your plans change, which is good. Basically, whenever you want, you request a check and the can either wire it or mail it to you.
We loved our HM registry because it really let our guests be a part of our HM (as well as helping me to plan in advance). Then I was able to write really personal TYs like thanking a friend for the french gourmet chocolates he 'bought' us and telling my dad's cousin how amazing the private cooking class was in Paris (we would NEVER have done this if she hadn't bought it for us -- it was expensive) -- one of the best experiences of our HM! Same with the segway tour (which we did instead of renting bikes and was awesome).
Traveler's Joy is great because your guests can just use a credit card for it so you don't have to worry about whether they have a paypal account.
LMK if you have any other questions about it. Good luck with your decision!
