X Post... Invitations Please HELP

MY RSVP card states the following..

Please before before January 12th
M___________________
___ Accept with Pleasure
Number Attending ____
___Decline with Regret

We were planning on no kids at the wedding, and figured people would figure it out if the invitation was only addressed to Mr. and Mrs, and not family. However, I went to my cousins wedding yesterday and there were a million children, which i DONT Want at all. How can I make this obvious? How do I go about stating this on the RSVP that I already have. I can't get them reprinted because they need to go out by Wednesday (I'm already a bit late). Is it tacky to fill in the guest # for them? Should I add a label to the RSVP card that says Adult Reception?

hmm that's a tough one. what about the addressing on the invitation? if u address it to the couple only, then if they write 4 people when only 2 were invited, someone needs to tell them that kids aren't invited.

u could do a label, but i don't think that's necessary - it would be more work and would take away from the visual integrity of your invite. maybe have your parents/FH's parents just spread the word throughout the family that it's adults only.
