Does anyone know any nail places in either Whitestone or Bayside that does solar nails? I also need prices if you have them. Thanks!

It's sort of like a permanent French manicure without nail polish. I believe it's an acrylic powder that gets put on over your natural nails. My sister has it and I wanted to get it done before the wedding, but she got them done in Texas so I'm looking for a local place that does it.

I go to a nail salon right off Bell, I'll ask about it this week while I'm there.

Thanks! I'd love to be able to get it done this week so that it's one less thing I have to worry about doing the day before the wedding, and solar nails seem to be far longer lasting than polished nails.

Will they ruin your real nails underneath though? I have pretty nice nails but I was thinking of doing this so I don't have to worry about the wedding or honeymoon and chipping - but I don't want it to ruin my nails underneath.

I'm sure it's not great for your nails, but I don't know if it's as bad as getting tips or wraps.

I get them done at creative nails on willetspoint and francis lewis, Ask for thomas, he is the best. I love doing that because they dont chip.

I've never heard them called Solar Nails just the 'Permanent French' But I go to Rainbow nails on Francis Lewis right off of 26th Avenue. They do a good job.

I haven't called them. I've heard such bad things about them. Not their work, per se, but attitude and prices are supposedly high. I'd rather give my money to a little nail salon if that's the case.
