The post from today title 'a little disappointed' ias about the same thing.
Gina, did they say when it takes effect? If I had purchased a custom runner, I'd be pissed if I couldn't use it!

Gawf My church said no also.. and no petals either.. They are saying its a hazard and a liability if someone slips and falls on it... I really wanted an aisle runner but Nothing we can do about it.. I heard that most churches are going to be doing this now. I wonder if a bride or groom or someone from a wedding fell and got hurt?

I know the dicoese are particularly hurting for money right now... since they economy tanked, they aren't getting the same donations they were used to, so my hypothesis is that when they reviewed their books, they were handing out a lot of cash in settlements. The fact that some churches had already banned them individually makes me think this isn't a new issue, so upon review i tmust have made sense to make it a diocese wide policy and not risk anyone else getting hurt and not have to pay out any more $$.

Probably cause the soap reside will cling to the doors and since they're gold they can't clean them or they'll tarnish
