If anything it sounds ilke a bit too much food for so many people ( although I'm not sure what the portion sizes are) , It sounds like wonderful though

wow! that's an insane menu!

bear in mind people will want to bring things so maybe assign them something on the menu so you dont have to make or buy it.

Re: X-POST: Thanksgiving Menu

I do Thanksgiving every year and I ALWAYS way over cook. I like to have a lot for ppl to take home and for DH and I to have our own leftovers. I usually have 15-20 adults every yr. DH's family is from El Salvador, so we mix it up a bit.
IMHO I think ur menu sounds FABOLOUS! But wayyyy too much food. And if you're doing it all yourself, you're very ambitious!
I just hope ull have time to enjoy the holiday urself too!

Here's my advice..

1st-I would cut down on ur apps. I would be afraid ppl will be full after all the delicious apps. Eventhough I love each and every thing that's on ur app list. Save the idea for a dinner party or new years.

2nd- 3 diff cranberries, gravy, and applesauce is a lot. I make fresh cran sauce every yr and canned jellied sauce and I always end up with both hardly being touched. Such a waste, but such staples for Thanksgiving that I continue to always put it out. Along with gravy, of course.

3- its not necessary to have 2 diff string beans.

I think all of ur choices sound AMAZING, so much that my mouth is watering. I love the idea of the carrots, I may have to steal that.

So that is my honest opinion for whatever its worth. I hope you don't get offended. I say all this with the best intentions. And with experience of doing it myself I think the best advice that I can give is that there just isn't enough time to prep and cook everything yourself.

Good luck!
