or know someone who has (once your dress already was ordered/came in)?
I was at the mall looking for a gown for FMIL...she wanted to go into the bridal salon. The attendant I worked with said my dress had come in and asked if I wanted to try it on...I said 'sure'. I didn't like it...I made that clear to FMIL and FSIL who thought I was being crazy...the attendant asked me if I liked it and I said 'yeah' cause I was embarassed...
When I was leaving, she said that they usually have you pay the balance when you come for your 'preview' but that since I hadn't expected to preview it, she wouldn't make me.
I've found a new dress. If I get it, do you think I'll only lose my deposit?

Re: (X-posted): Anyone ever cancel your dress?
I depends on the store policy. Your situation is tricky because your dress already came in. I know someone that was in the same boat but she had cancelled her wedding and they MADE her still pay the remaining balance on her dress, it was sad.

That is so sad. Do you know where she got it? (if you do, I'd understand if you'd rather fm it)

I canceled my first dress and they made me pay the entire balance, it depends on what your contract. It usually says if the balance is due upon cancelation. I got mine at Bridal reflections
