x-posted: The Sands, Lido Beach/Atlantic Beach

Anyone been there for wedding? Scouted it? Etc..

I was there for a prom years ago.... But I went to 3 proms so it's sort of a blur to remember it anyway so I'm not sure which location it was since they have one in Lido Beach & Atlantic Beach.

Just looking for anyone's input, it'd be appreciated.

Crashing again
DH & I went to visit Sands Lido Beach. We thought it was beautiful. The only reason we didn't choose them was b/c of the way they would do the kosher food (some meals). The price was perfect.

Is it water front? I think I know where the Lido Beach location is...

I saw a few pictures on the sites but don't remember any water front... then again I went to one place that had a picture of water front but was no where near the water.

Their backyard is the beach. They do have an area for an outdoor ceremony.

i had my bat mitzvah at Lido, and my sis had hers at Atlantic Beach.

Are you having a kosher wedding? I asked my dad why I wasn't seeing either location as a popular wedding place on LIW and he said they have kosher catering, so not many people want that for their wedding. Both places were great, but I'd only recommend them if you wanted kosher. After eating kosher food much of this summer with my job, I prefer non-kosher.

No worries in the kosher department.. not Jewish and I don't believe it will be an issue for most if not all my guests.

I think the impression my dad gave me was that their catering is ONLY kosher -- I could be wrong. Do you know if this is true? Unless they bring in an outside caterer I don't think they would 'contaminate' their kitchen. So... what I'm saying is I think they only serve kosher food -- so even though you are not Jewish you'd be serving kosher food at your wedding (no shellfish, no ham, no bacon, either dairy or meat, etc)
