Xbox 360...where to find them

Ok...i posted this in FM to a couple of people that wanted mine when the thing first came out but now, Best Buy's acourse the country will have to stock at least 20 units on Dec 18th but they may just hold the number below of units they have to that day. Im not sure if these are premiums systems or cores. My suggestion is if you really want one, you get there early and stand in line for a couple of hours (like i did) as this will be the last major shipment to a major store before xmas. Please do not quote me on this infomation (i would do more research and contact your local best buy to verify this info) But this is a master list given from a discrict manager at best buy. It will be 1 per person online and this may or may not be a bundle purchase (meaning you it comes with games, controllers, etc..)

no...this is an in-store. there are people monitoring websites (amazon, toys r us, etc..) as soon as they are stocked, they are sold out. your have better chances to go instore

most online stores are backordered with the 360

Thanks... I go to Best Buy everday and it keeps saying coming soon... But if DH wants another 360 he has to get on the line and get it himself!

i have everything except for gamecube right now

PS2 is fun and been very loyal. The first xbox, i didnt buy until a couple games came out that i really wanted to play like 2 years later.
I wasn't even gonna buy the xbox360 but i got caught up in the hype...so i got one...then greed made me buy 4 more

I look forward to ps3 however, i'm afraid of the price and whats gonna be in the box (blu-ray dvd?). Sony still does not host games correctly (xbox clearly has an edge in online games)

I love all games and not a huge fan of just one console. Im loving the fact the games are playing at 720p and 1080i (HD) on my plasma... games are different to me now with the new graphics.

I heard something about it overheating?

Do you know anything more about that?

as to anything, you need to take care of the system...

make sure there is plenty of room so the system can take in fresh air and push it out
(just like your nose and mouth) if it gets covered up, it wont work really good

same with the power supply...both gets warm

dont leave on carpet, dont stack it in a AV system with stuff above and below it (if your laying it down)

MS wanted to get them to us so they probally rushed some bit...

if you system is not working carefully when you get it, you can bring it back to the store where you got it from OR you can just call up MS, tell its busted, they overnight you return package, you overnight it back....once they get they, they send you a brand new xbox all with in a 5 day window of starting the process.

the artcle about the kid sueing Microsoft will be thrown out once it reach court becuase any random person can take a company to court saying its broken and cause me to get sick, etc.. when all he had to do is call the number and he would of gotten a new one in a matter of days... nto every single machine works 100% as to anything.

I had a new car and the 2nd day driving it, i had a blow out of the tire. i didnt sue toyota cause the tire blew. things happen..

my xbox has been used maybe about an hour a day, some days more i have yet to see a problem. i have 5 games, download so much stuff already and not once a problem.

from what i understand..you dont have to buy bundles..but not 100% sure about that

my husband is a big time Gamer...also works in the industry and he gave up his reserve on the 360 since he was not going to be one of the first to get his.

Now he was NOT A big fan of PS2 or Sony due to the problems they had for many years.....and now he's SERIOUSLY considering getting PS3.

About 1 in 10 or 1 in 12 were being returned for problems. Good news is that it happened right away, so if yours did not act up when you first went to play it, chances are it won't have an issue.

I HIGHLY Recommend getting a protection plan (if you buy through EB GAmes, Funcoland, or GameStop, I believe it's $40 and it's for 1 year--you get to return the unit NO MATTER WHAT within 1 year and get a new unit).

depends what town you live in..depends if you really want one..

On PS2 launch (2001) i went online at 2 am and was still the 100th person out of 175 units.

On 360 launch (nov) i got online at 4:30 a am at Costco and was number 15 of 24. Nobody suspected costco would have them on day1.

I would try around 4am or so depending on the weather conditions.

how close are you to the store? which store are you going to? i know this sounds odd, but get there first, this way you dont have to worry about it. so what if you wait a couple of hours, you can buy it what its suppose to cost and the only thing you will be losing is a couple of sleep. Pull your car up and wait, once people start coming, claim you spot in line. dress warm
