Yesterday FH and I went to buy our 1st christmas tree (fake b/c I am alergic to the real one) and bought some ornaments including one that is like a ring in a box and they personalized w/ 2007 our 1st chirstmas.... This is our 1st christmas in our own place and it was so much fun, we put the tree up to see how many ornaments we neeed and what other stuff. It was so excited even though we have such a small apt I need to have xmas tree.
By the way all of you school teacher I saw the coolest christmas ornaments with like a school teacher that you can personalize....
How is everyone xmas shopping going????

that is so exciting! i love christmas!! last year i bought a super small tree for FH's apt (picture the Charlie Brown tree) We ar hoping to be in our house in time for Christmas so we can decorate too but I'm not sure if we will be. I can't wait to have our first Christmas in our own home. So far I am about halfway done with shopping. I know what I am getting mostly everyone (except my brother and FSIL and FMIL). I am way ahead of schedule this year!

We bought a xmas tree when i moved in to fh house. And every year since we have bought ornaments for every yr since then!!!!!

Doing some more xmas shopping this weekend. We are more than half done.
That is cute that your tree is up already. We have 2 new cats that have never seen a xmas tree and I am afraid to put it up....I can guarantee they will knock it down at least once!

Fh both still live home so we can't do the whole christmas tree thing it really is upsetting around the holidays, I would love to wake up next to him on Christmas morning...soon enough hopefully.
But as far as Christmas shopping I think I'm doing pretty good, although I'll probably still be shopping christmas eve ...never fails...but I'm trying!

I love decorating for Christmas! This will be our first Christmas together here. The apartment was ready a little before Christmas last year but I waited until January 1st to move in. We bought a huge prelit tree last year that looks really real. It was when Harrows was going out of business. It was something outrageous like $700 reduced to $200. We all need to take pictures and post them when we have our decorations up!

wow i cant even! lol this is mine and FH 5th xmas...but our 3rd xmas in our apartment....cool! last year we got a real tree and it was absolutley amazin! i cant wait to decorate...we will prob do it the first week in dec!
as for xmas shopping...black friday here i come! :)

My cat never knocked over my tree he just played with the ornaments so I bought cheap plastic christmas balls for the bottom of the tree so he wouldnt break them. He is now 3 years old and I am sure he will do it this year to.

Yeah last year we got a real tree to so we will probably do the same. We went the first week in December too and my mom thought I was nuts and was afraid the tree would catch on fire because it may become dry but I was all over that tree giving it lots of water so it was fine!
I have not started shopping yet but am excited for black friday. I only have to buy for Mom, Dad, FH and 1 other person. My siblings and our significant others are drawing a name out of a hat so we only have to buy 1 gift rather then for 5 others!

HAHAHA I am soooo Clumsy with everything. With the tree I try to be extra careful, luckily I do not have expensive ornaments. I bought most of them at the Christmas Tree Shop last year. If you do not know what the Christmas Tree Shop is well its the best store ever hahaha. They are all over RI, MA and some in NY, and CT. There is one in Staten Island and I am so going soon. Only about 20 minutes from my sisters in Brooklyn. Its sorta like a big lots but much better and awesome!

I have heard about it... I so have to go, this is going to be my 3rd christmas since I move to United States and their is alot places that I dont know... OH FH is going to have to take me there...
