xmas memories for crafty '06ers...

i just wanted to pass along the idea of starting a christmas memory book. they actually sell memory books like this with spots for pics and spots to write 'where were were', 'who we spent the holiday with', 'where we lived', and a spot for your greeting card that year. i think its a great idea! i saw the pre-made book on display at someones house that i babysit for and i flipped through it and it was nice to see how they went from their first xmas together and each year inbetween up until now with their 2 kids! i bought a 12 x 12 red scrapbook to start our family tradition with this past christmas pictures and memories. i plan on cutting up the xmas cards we received this year to use the pretty pics as embellishments. i can't wait to fill up the pages as the years go on

well you can buy a premade one, like this:

or you can easily and cheaply make one (i bought a red 12x12 book with 20 pages, a pack of 20 12x12 papers in xmas colors, and a pad filled with xmas themed papers for $25 total at michaels). using cut outs from xmas cards i will decorate the pages as i go. imo its more fun to do it yourself!
