I think for a wedding band $5,000 is at the low end, but you could do a dj with a jazz trio OR a dj and classical musicians for less. Good luck though!

I heard a great band named The Circle...and they were less than 3000....like 2800;...however it was for a six piece band,you couldn't tell the difference, they were great.

Bands can be VERY expensive!!! Some cost as much as $10,000!!! $5,000 isn't bad at all actually!

We're paying over $6,000 but that was one of the things that we wanted to splurge on because it was important to us to have a great band that we loved and we feel that it does make the party!

Maybe there are bands for less- check around. But just make sure you check them out live before hiring them!
