Don't be so depressed!!! You have plenty of time to lose the few pounds you need to fit in the dress!!

Check out Body for Life. It worked really well for me!!!

Good luck!

I am so sorry to hear that. You do have time right now, you aren't getting married until April so there is time. The South Beach diet is pretty good, but you won't see weight loss from any diet in four days. You have to wait at least a week to see any results. Just stick to it, that's the best advice I can give. Any diet will work as long as you really stay with it and exercise. Good luck to you, I know how you feel, I have been there.

I wouldn't worry too much, although I know the feeling, I couldn't breathe when I put my dress on - I started going to Curves and watching the snacks and sweets and within only a month I fit back into my dress just fine. Don't panic yet!

Please do not worry about your weight!!
Just stick to your diet and workout and you'll be fine. You won't see results in a couple of days.
I gained 10 pounds during the holidays and now I am back at the gym. It will take some time before I feel comfortable in my dress.

Here are some pointers:
Drink lots of water.
Don't eat anything past 8pm (sooner is better).
Remember to enjoy your workout. Do things you like to do. Dancing, listen to high energy music, or go with friends.
Eat grapefruits. I eat them for breakfast everyday. They are so good for you, and filling.

Hope this helps.

First of all, take a deep breath! You WILL lose the weight. I promise. I lost 30 pounds my first four months of dieting, so you can certainly shed a few extras in that time!
But what I am more concerned about is that you picked a dress to please other people, and that you are worried about what your FH's friends will think. SCREW EVERYONE ELSE! Do what makes YOU happy! You cannot please everyone and when it comes down to it, the only person who you really need to please is yourself. So take care of yourself by not beating yourself up over this! Just do what you think you need to in order to feel better. Don't even think about anyone else. Sometimes it's good to be selfish!

Oh honey relax!!! First of all, I'm sure you it's not as bad as you are making it sound (not trying to make to fun of you but you sound like me when I have PMS ), 2nd - you have 4 months!! You can definitely lose enough weight to fit into your gown perfectly in that amount of time, and you don't even have to kill yourself to do it.

If you didn't love the dress to begin with though, that a little tougher. Did you like it at all? Because it sounds like maybe you are second guessing it only because you don't feel comfortable in it now. I'm sure that after you shed a couple of lbs you will look gorgeous in your gown and you'll love it again!!

Hang in there! And BTW, I am NOT skinny. I just got my pics back yesterday from some gowns I tried on at David's and you wanna talk snowbeast?? I look like the stay puff marshmallow girl.

I agree with what everyone else said. If you're really worried, you can try Body For Life - it's a real commitment, but it works wonders. South Beach works as well. You'll be fine. 4 days is not enough time to see any changes.

I'm using a lace up corset, that's also an option. Not just a merrywidow, but a pull the strings, can bearly sit down corset. It takes in like 5 inches.

Nope, not all of us are skinny. Thank God for the underwear thingys that will help suck in my stomach area in my dress!! Now, can they make something like that for my wings? (My upper arms are so jiggly I could fly!!!!!!!!!!)

for you and you have FM.

Maribelle - FM is coming your way!

stay with south beach a few more days....also, working out will getg rid of the inches a lot quicker than just dieting.

Try doing crunches and side bends holding a 10 lb weight...

You have time to lose weight!!!! Try exercising and pick a lifestyle that works for you. I was a pro at gaining and never losing. I joined weight Watchers and have lost nearly 17 pounds. Good Luck and don't get down on yourself- I've learned the harder you are on yourself, the harder it is to lose. Take it one day at a time- it will all work out!

Please don't get yourself so upset. You WILL look gorgeous no matter what. Really try and focus on what foods you eat and exercise as at least 3x a week (easy for me to say, since i have yet to strart a exercise routine.) Drink lots of water and eat lots of protein, veggies and fruit. You have over 3 months, so please don't stress. Set attainable goals and committ yourself towards achieving those goals.

What matters most is that you have found someone that loves you unconditionally. Whether you lose the weight or not, he loves you for who you are and not how much your weigh.

I know your girls are right. But I gained 50 lbs since I met FH in October 2001. And I wasn't that skinny to begin with so this makes it even harder to bear. Oh and now I have high blood pressure too. Not really high but just over that normal/high range. Yes it's more motivation but still I can't believe i let myself get like this.

And I should have started dieting wehn we got engaged in Nov 2002. Did I? noooooooooo

I know I sound all 'woe is me, my life is so bad' and I know it isnt' but I'm just so flippin upset with myself. I look at those pictures and I cry over and over.

OK I'm going to the gym now. Thanks for the nice words, it made me feel a bit better.

Sweetie don't beat yourself up it happens! If you lose 10lbs, that is a dress size and it is definitely doable. I used to weigh 230lbs. I have 25lbs to go to get to my goal weight. It can be done. U are going about it the right way. Stay on track. U have FM.

the last thing you need now is to beat yourself up over this...at least you have the right mind-set, dieting and exercising...just keep it up and think positively...you can do it

Tahnks everyone. I think I'm just in a bad, sad mood this week about the dress. I hope I can lose some before the wedding.

It never bothered me that much before now.

I guess putting on a poofy white dress puts things into perspective
