We live together, so he saw me when I got home from both. Anyway, I needed him to take pictures so I could email to my mom in South Carolina!!

ETS: He did say when I got home from my makeup trial 'Yeah, well, you know I don't like makeup' and from the hair trial 'Looks fine but it's so fancy'.

So I guess decide whether or not you can prepare yourself for comments!! LOL!!

He saw me- he was home during the trial. I really didnt think about it too much. I guess it just worked out he saw me.

OMG, my fiance said the same thing; that it was too much make-up; now I feel better. I don't usually wear much makeup, but obviously you have to at the wedding, and it doesn't look like a lot of make up in the pictures because of the lighting. Anyway, I don't think it ruins the surprise on the wedding day because it is not the same as seeing you with everything: hair, make-up, dress, veil, etc. on your wedding day.

FH had to drop me off and pick me up from my trial, so YES he did see the finished product, so to speak... I didn't think it was a big deal, since he didn't see me with the tiara or veil on .. and I really REALLY wanted his opinion, becuase he is always completely honest with me. Last thing I would want was for him to hate the way I looked on our wedding day !!!!

I wasn't too sure what I thought of my trial .. FH said he thought it was a little more makeup than I normally wore, but still liked it (realizes that you need more for pics, etc) HE actually LOVED the hair surprisingly enough, b/c he normally likes my hair down and during my trial it was all up

So to answer the question, NO I don't think its a big deal for your FH to see you after your hair / makuep trial.

my dh and i lived together so he saw me when i came home and have me his opinion. i actually agreed with him and fixed it a different way because of that. i wanted to look my best for him that day and for myself

My FH saw me after the make-up trial. Said he didn't like the airbrush as it looked to cakey. So I will be getting the regular make-up - I'd rather him not like the trial than on the wedding day.

same here. We are going thru all the planning process together, except my dress of course. After all, it is OUR day. As for the makeup, we made it a point to go out that night so I can show off and feel extra pretty

I havent gone for my hair or makeup yet, but I dont want him to see me done up until that day. I want it all to be surprise!

I let my FI see me because I wanted his opinion. I was nervous with the make-up part. I wanted to make sure it was not too much for him.

I did not let my FH see my hair...I want it to be a surprise.

He did see my makeup though, and he loved both trials, even though I wasn't crazy about them.

I think its fine... the real surprise is the WHOLE PICTURE, you in your gown with this amazing hair do and beautiful make-up..

I think the whole superstition thing is about not seeing the dress at all, or the bride the day of the wedding until she is coming down the aisle. Some people even say 24 hours, but I can't not be with him the day before. Too many relatives to visit with together.
