Oh Jenny, pls don't dispair.

Weddings and families sometimes don't go together, jealousy usually seems to be at the root of it, and other times, as the future wife/husband we don't always understand the ins and outs of the others family..basically it sucks right now, but stay focused on what the day really is about and who it's for, it's for your and your very supportive FH, so keep your head up, and know you can always come here to lean on us

People can be so selfish and childish!!!
If it makes u feel any better I dont want a shower either! My fmil and my mom arent exactly best of friends and my fmil - while I love her to death some things about her really get to me... for isntance she went to a bridal shower a few months ago... the brides family had money and the grooms didnt ( opposite situation then us) she came home going ' our side of the family gave such nice gifts so much money this that blah blah and his side gave such cheap junk! I was so embarassed for her!! Then she went on to say how the brides mother gave her a check for like $10,000 and some furniture and a whole bunch of other crap ( which is not normal but they think so) and the grooms mother gave a check for $50 and $50 cash. I said who cares maybe that was her last $100 .. people give wha they can afford. She gave me a dirty look. Now I dont want to have a shower with both our families together b/c if any of that goes on I will flip out!! Im not getting married for presents!!

Unfortunately, sometimes weddings bring out the worst in people. It's your wedding - do what you want. If you only want a BM and MOH, then do it. It sounds like half your BP are being childish anyway. Wedding planning is very stressful - you try to please everyone all the time but in the end, all that really matters is you and FH. How does FH feel about how his sisters are behaving? It sounds like it's time for everyone to sit down and talk and be honest, and you can make decisions from there. You are not the only one with these types of situations - believe me. You will make the right decisions for you.

I dont know why weddings do bring out the worst in people. if I could do it over again, I would have eloped!!! You hnag in there though, you have put so much thought into your wedidng, its going to be amzaing!!! And what is really important is that fh is being so suuportive!!! You two just enjoy your day and odnt worry about anyone who tries to bring you down!!!

I am soooo sorry for you. I hope you can get over this. What you should do is stick with your BP who wants to be involved. Forget about the haters. You'll be soo much happier.
