Jenny, I think that is the right way. That is what all of the invitations I have received have looked like.

Re: question for addressing envelopes
We addressed ours like this....
Outer envelope we put the childrens names if the family had 1 or 2 children & were over 10yrs old..
Example:
Mr. & Mrs. Mark Smith Miss Kristen Smith & Mr. Daniel Smith
If their were more than 2 children we put 'family'
Mr. & Mrs. Mark Smith & Family
Inner Envelope:
Mr. & Mrs. Mark Smith
or
Mr. & Mrs. Mark Smith & Family

Re: question for addressing envelopes
We only have one 'and family' invite and are addressing them as such:
Outer:
The Smith Family ADDRESS
Inner:
Jane and Joe Sally and Mary
ETA: Not sure if this is correct, but this is how we address them all the time. Whether on envelopes or when leaving phone messages.

Re: question for addressing envelopes
I was just reading you're not supposed to put 'and Family' on the outside envelope. You clarify names on the inner envelopes.
I'm confused if it's acceptable to use first names on the inner envelope for adults. It says it's okay for close family and friends, but isn't everyone we're inviting to this wedding mostly close family and friend? So I can just put first names for everyone on inner?
