I'm definitely no expert, but I think you'd have some pain if it were an ear infection. Have you been swimming lately? I get that feeling sometimes after I go swimming.

Re: Is this an ear infection???
Oh I am def. allergic to my FMIL!
I don't have allergies but sometimes i do have reactions when counts get very high!
ALso, sometimes if you ear bothers you it may mean you have a cavity or something with you back molars! I had an ear ache once ( I know yours doesnt ache, but if could be the start) and it ended up being a cavity in my molar. Also try cleaning your ears out with peroxide or Dubex (sp?).

It could be allergies...My FH has no known allergies but has been having the same problem with his ears. His doctor just prescribed him zyrtec to help.

It could be water and wax - or could be fluid from your sinuses

Re: Is this an ear infection???
Have you had a cold recently? I had a feeling just like yours a few weeks ago, I thought it was an infection too. I didn't have pain but it felt like there was water in my ear. It turns out I had congestion in my ear. I had to use nose spray for a coupld of weeks daily and it cleared up. maybe that's all it is.

Do you have a sore throat, swollen glands or a toothache (molars/wisdom teeth?). All these things sometimes affect my ears.

it does not hurt at all!!!
But for about a week it feels like I have water in it. kind of muffy/clogged feeling. Although I hear fine, it's like a little pressure (like going through altitude changes.
what is that? Again, I feel fine.
I did notice the other day when I taught some balance moves I had to really think about keeping my balance & I usually have no problem (off equilibrium is a sign of ear infection).
It sounds allergy/sinus related. I get the same exact thing EVERY April!!!! I always go to the DR. & he just tells me to take Allegra. It's the most annoying feeling...Welcome to Spring!!!

Re: Is this an ear infection???
Iget that all the time and it usually turns out to be a middle ear infection or a sinus infection. Antibiotics makes it go away.

Re: Is this an ear infection???
Sorry it took me so long to get back to this post. Its gross but what you have to do is lay on your side with a towel under your head. You take a cap full of peroxided and pour it into you ear that is towards the ceiling! It takes like 3 seconds to get used to it! You will feel it bubble and go deeper into your ear. in about 2 mins. turn you head over and let it spill out on to the towel and do it to the other ear! Dubex is basically the same thing but they give you a suction cup to get the liquid out! I have been doing it for years every 2 weeks, It def. aids in hearing!

Re: Is this an ear infection???
My doctor told me most adult ear infections do not have pain with them. I personally say BS! because my ears hurt like hell last week! But then again, she's the doctor, so go figure.

Re: Is this an ear infection???
It could be a wax build up. You may want to go to your doctor and have your ears checked. If it is wax build up they'll clean your ears at the office.
