that is so annoying!!! She doesn't even need an explaination. If she's going to be in a mood about things like that, then maybe its better that she doesn't come.

I was gonna say, people like that are kinda better out of your life, honestly.

I have a 2nd cousin who asked me if she was invited last May. I didn't know so I said 'well, we haven't put the list together.' So now I hear she's bitching that she's not coming because I didn't want to invite her.

Whatever, let it roll off your back. People can be childish.

People not planning a wedding don't understand that you can't invite everyone.

Everyone likes to hide behind their egos and be hurt and offended if they're not first on your list, nevermind that you have 8 married brothers and sisters and 47 first cousins that you CAN'T cut without starting a family feud, and they're just friends of a parent (but never even met the bride/groom - or only met them once in 5 years)

Sorry, doing a little of my own venting

You can't please them all, and if they're going to take offense because you don't think they're as important as they do, well then just forget them, they're not worth your time. You have more important people to worry about, starting with yourself and your FH!

You are better off without people like that. If I was invited a month before, I'd probably not go either but I wouldn't voice it. I'd just say I already have prior arrangements and I think saying the excuse of the computer being messed up, makes matters worse. You want people at your affair that celebrate with you from the heart and be happy for you and FI.

Well I hate to say it, but I would be offended if I was invited to a wedding by word of mouth after all the invitations were sent out. I understand that you can't invite everyone to your wedding, but it's insulting to ask them to attend after the RSVP's were due & you know you won't make your minimum, I would feel like a seat-filler. JMO.
