On the Island, you can try Bonaventure in Garden City and Cathy's in Lindenhurst. They both had a pretty big selection of gowns.

My mom got her dress at Renate's in Lindenhurst. They had a normal amount of BM's dresses but if you are in the area anyway...

I got mine at Bridal Suite of Centereach. Amy is a great sales person to work with.

We got ours at Patchogue bridal suite and were really able to talk down the price.

I got my BM dresses at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. I thought they were great. It's a nice store and the sales help was great. I also did a lot of looking around cause the price difference for the same dress at different stores were pretty big. The dress I got ranged form $180 to $140. Bridal Reflections had the best price.

We ended up getting the bridesmaid dresses at H & S Bridal in NYC in the Bridal Building (1385 Broadway, Suite 1104). They had the best prices for dresses from the Dessy Collection and they only charge $25 for alterations.

I used RK also and had no problems. The dress my girls fell in love with was over $50 cheaper going through them. They have alot of dresses, but it is more of a warehouse type feel and you really have to search the racks - and dig in. People don't really help you like you find in a boutique type store. But in a way that is good - there is no rush, pressure, etc...

Thanks for all the suggestions....i went to bridal reflections today in massapequa and lillettes. My MOH tried on a ton of dresses. Most of the ones we liked were over $200 so we're going to keep looking. One of our faves was an after six dress that i can't seem to find anywhere on the web.

Going to try adriennes and cathys tomorrow. :) thanks again

KL805 - not sure if your BMs are ok with it but the dress we loved that they tried on at Bridal Reflections was $210. We're getting it for $147 off of netbride.com - you should definitely check it out.

Hmmm... I had the same problem with an After Six dress that my BMs tried on at BR in Massapequa. Was it by any chance a v-neck halter and the sample was in a dark pink?

It was a round neck halter and the sample was in black...it was under $200. It was simple and long, had a band empire waist that was the same color.

Also, as far as online sales go, you can get instant quotes at House of Brides.com. Netbride is usually around the same or a little less but at least that'll give you an idea right away. Just for the record, you should never pay more than $165 for a Dessy, Vivian Diamond or After Six dress.
