Re: ok,,,give your advice - Why can guys be so hurtful and insensitive

It doesn't sound to me like he meant to play you at all. Unfortunately you two did not have that strong of a foundation and his feelings for his ex are stronger than his feelings for you.

I always believe if it's meant to be it will be...

I have to agree, sounds like he was just going for a sure thing over an unsure thing.

I just think some of them are missing the sesitivity gene. That was really misleading of him not to say anything, and I would be pretty pissed off.

That really sucks, but I agree.....I don't think he meant to do it. MAybe it was one of those things that he never thought would happpen, and when it did, his feelings about his ex changed. It sounds like you had a really good time, and sometimes you have relationships are just based on having fun, and you take with you what you can. And not for nothing, I think it was a really huge step on your part to get involved with someone else. It was a hurdle that you overcame and now you have an open path in front of you

Well, I can understand how you feel. TRUST ME. I've been there! But it was a really good step to try and move on from your ex, anyway. Maybe if you focus on just having fun, the right one will fall into your lap I know it's hard. I really do know

Look at it this way, better to have happened now than later.

Also, this may still work out. If it's meant to be it will. If he doesn't try to make it work with his ex, who he had a strong foundation with, he'll always wonder what might have been and your relationship might suffer because of it. Given your recent situation, you wouldn't want another long-term relationship to turn into another letdown.

Like I said, if it's meant to be, it will be.

I feel the opposite He really seemed so genuine in all he said and even my friends were at a lost for what he did after seeing how he was towards me prior. I feel like now I am even futher from trusting people again. Not a good feeling.

I'm sorry this happened, and that you're hurting and angry again. I thinkyou should give yourself some time to be by yourself. Learn how to love and trust YOU, before you look for someone else to share your life with.

Sometimes, with a little distance between heartbreaks, you discover a new idea or a new lesson about yourself and that leads you to a point of clarity about what you truly desire from life and love. All the best to you!

It's probally hard to believe,,but I am ok with who I am now. Actually I have become such a better person than who I was with my FH,,,and this past guy helped me become even better and learn more about myself and my fears and feelings on issues.

I just want a decent person who is genuine and looking for something real,,,no games or hiding things.

It's always important in life to be able to discern between what you want and what you need. And I think you are already doing this.

The sky is the limit for you.

Best of Luck!

I agree..I know what I want and need from people...it's finding it that I have a hard time with.

I think if you create a list for yourself of --

1..) OK.. these are things I definitely need in a relationship.. as I get to know this person over a period of time.. can this person who I'm interested in provide this for me?

2.) The second part is like a wish list.. I would love if he's like this .. or that... but I can live with the fact if he's not.

I think you should start beforehand anyone comes around and see where it goes from there. If you have a plan beforehand of what you need.. and what you want.. I think it will work better for ya!

I do have my list...I am realistic, but there is a list of the basis I think any relationship should provide a person....Like Truth and not just saying you'll be truthful - atually being truthful, genuine, supportive, positive, etc.

You the Lady! Exactly...
