Re: extremely upset with FH
All the ones i've been too they have. My Grandmother went to my sister's, they had a male stripper and my grandmother was hitting the coronas like they were water. She said she had the greatest time.

I had no idea. I have heard of like a dinner before hand. I couldn't picture my dad at my fh's bachelor party..it scares me to think about it

Re: extremely upset with FH
Its awkward, but honestly maybe your FI and friends wouldn't be that comfortable having your dad there. You have to look at from his point of view too, that its his 'last night out' and they want to crazy, etc.
Neither of my brothers invited their FIL's or my dad to their bachelor parties and come to think of it, I would be livid if FI insisted I invite his mother to mine!
Your dad should understand that even though you're the bride, you're not in control of everything!
Good luck!

Re: extremely upset with FH
My dad will be invited to FH's BP but they are close. FH works for my dad. I think that if your FH isn't comfortable with your dad going then it is his BP. Just a thought

Re: extremely upset with FH
Your dad might really feel out of place. Sounds like it is going to be a lot of young guys. Maybe try explaining that to him. If you FFIL was going it would be one thing, but it sounds like its a young crowd!!
Would your dad go into the city to meet them for dinner? I would try pushing that!! Atleast he'll get to be a part of some of it. My dad, uncle and FFIL all went to dinner with the guys, but then they went home and the guys went out to play!!

Re: extremely upset with FH
My FH is doing 2 bachelor parties. One is a weekend thing to Atlantic City with only the BP and his close friends. Then he is also having a dinner bachelor party with the BP, his friends, my grandfather, his father, my uncles, and my brother who is in the BP but too young for atlantic city. This way no one is left out but my FH can still have that wild party he wanted.

Re: extremely upset with FH
My FH will probably do something similar to Julz's FH. They're going to Vegas in 3 weeks with just the 'boys.' When it comes closer to the wedding, they may do dinner and a strip club with their friends and men in the family.

Re: extremely upset with FH
Can you just tell your FH that your dad is really hurt and that he should come up with something that they could do separately that would include him? IMO, whether he would feel uncomfortable or not, he should still have an invite extended to him . . .your poor daddy

Re: extremely upset with FH
My dad was not invited to DH's nor was his father. Granted, DH and his friends went to Vegas for the weekend but even if it was local, they would not have gone. My mom didn't come to mine and my MIL wans't invted either. I would not have wanted my mom or MIL going to Birdy's Bachelorette party with me and they didn't expect to be invited either.

So sorry for dad Especially because he is expressing his hurt. Perhaps FH can do something with DAd.
