Jenny I know how you feel. Though I am married I eat alone at least 5 nights a weeks since DH works nights and I work days. It does stink. ![]()
and when he is not around I hate cooking for just me!

When both my parents passed away, I was left alone in this big house. It was awful , especailly to eat alone. Then I had Dh, we were boyfriend and girlfriend at that point, here before we were even engaged and I hated when I had to eat alone. It is awful. It will get better- it took me a long time to get used to eating alone. Now I am married and I look forward to a night out with the girls or when he goes over to my neighbors huse to watch sports. My computer is on the fritz, so no pics are coming up, but I am giving u hugs.

Has really nothing to do with Jim not being around.
I don’t think I hate eating alone as much as I hate eating OUT alone. During my uhm “dry spell” I was single for over a year. Didn’t really wanna date (it was after a major break up). I found I ate very little. I just would forget to eat. Maybe it was because I hated to eat alone. Before I met Jim I lived with two guy roomies. Our schedules never matched. I ended up eating alone a lot.
I admit though, I don’t eat alone now. I just won’t eat at all until Jim’s home, which makes some folks think I’m a little crazy. Oh … wait.. I am!
Eating alone just takes time. I got REALLY used to doing all that stuff alone. After awhile you start to feel a bit cocky about it. I did the eat at home, eat out, movies out and driving around ‘alone’ thing for nearly a year. I don’t regret it. Sometimes, I know this sounds werid, but just SOMETIMES I miss the solitude.

Joe works nights (3-11) and gets home at 1. I go to sleep alone too. ![]()
I'm used to it now, but it does get depressing at times. I'm jealous of couples who get to eat with their hubbies every night. I sometimes make 'dinnerish' meals for lunch and eat it with him before he leaves, but it just isn't the same.

I know it's a terrible thing to do but eat in front of the TV!!! That helps me when I feel that way.... or better yet, in front of your computer (but be careful ![]()

I am always alone! My hubby works to all hours of the night!! Forced over time! He is working till 3 am tonight! He has been at work since 8am! I am getting so lonely. I feel like I have bought so many TV dinners because I don't feel like cooking meals for just myself!![]()
