hmm, i kno im single now but when i wasnt there was an ex who came to apologize to me for all the bad sh*T he put me threw..way too little, way too late.. once an ex is an ex, i dont go back..i only recycle to get some booty if need be :) LOL

Probably not much. We were never really on bad terms, we were just young when we dated. We were actually friends for a while when we were both single and we hung out all the time. I think dating again was on both of our minds, but we never really went forward with it. If we had discussed it instead of avoiding it, we probably would have dated again.

Definitely. My ex right before FH was my boyfriend all 4 years of college. We only broke up because of bad timing--he was in med school and I was working crazy hours on Wall Street and we said we can't be together and never see each other.

Then there was another ex where we just had the most amazing chemistry--I don't know how compatible we would have been in the long run, but we just had sparks together.

I'm with Nov on this one! My first love and I had chemistry that has never been matched. He wouldn't have had to do much to win me back - even sometimes now (I know, I'm bad but Bob is trying my patience today so work w/me ). I have no idea where he is but I heard he made a huge mess of his life. Poor choices and stuff...

There was nothing ANY of my ex's could have done to even tempt me to go back to them or give them a second chance.. I always have closed the door on a relationship once its over.

There was a time that I would have said ok to this one ex - but I later learned some stuff that I wish knew to begin with. I hope that last sentence can be followed. If I were to run into him today, I would be in jail for assault.

I have to agree with one of the other ladies - my first love - we had the most amazing relationship - but we were young. He is the only one of all my exes that I would have considered if I was single.

If I was single I probably would have went back to my childhood sweetheart or moved to PR and been with my first love out there. Neither one of them did anything. I never gave my childhood sweetheart a chance because we were best friends and I never wanted to ruin that but now that we are older...I might have agreed to be with him. My Long distance love was the first boy that ever told me he loved me and the first boy I ever did love so it was just the distance that killed us.

But things happen for a reason and I would never even think of anyone else besides my hunny.

As far as an ex who would have to win me back. Girl......it would take a whole lot! He treated me like crap so it would have to be some serious falling in love all over again!!!

Yes i have tried and it never worked...
i usually get that 'disgusted' feeling
and i can't tolerate being around an ex so i have to end it...again

I never advise going back, especially if it was a bad break up

I was never a second chance kinda girl. That is until my DH. He dumped me after about 1 1/2 of dating. We kept in touch because he was subletting my place while I was doing theatre in Missouri. Well, after 6 months of being broken up, dating other people and putting me through a whole lotta sh!t, we got back together about a month after I came home. I guess I gave him a second chance because I always knew that we were meant to be together.

In order to win me back he had to be patient. Obviously I had issues of trust and was worried that the smallest of problems would make him leave me again. He was so patient, understanding and loving. Almost exactly a year to the day we got back together he proposed. I can honestly say that giving him a second chance was the best decision of my life.

I would probably take back one of my exes... I still am not really sure why we broke up, we were young and that's really all I can think of... but we were friends for a while beforehand and had such a great friendship then. We stayed friends for a while afterwards as well but it was never the same... He's getting married a few months before me. I still talk to his best friend once in a blue moon and he keeps me informed

I had someone that I dated for 2 years that I would have given a second chance but it would have involved some changes in his career. The biggest reason we broke up was because he wanted to be a NY police officer and I didn't want to marry someone who had that as a career. I know a cop who died and I didn't want to spend my life worrying about him every night.
