Traditionally, they are on Sundays. My FH is Greek and I am Italian. We are getting married on a Friday in both churchs. I was concerned about this and he assured us that it would not be a problem. He explained that because we are getting married at 4PM, it's ok to do it on a Friday. He said that Friday weddings are becoming more popular.

Mine is on a Friday. I never heard of that.

We are getting married at 2:30 pm. We wanted to do it in April but he wouldn't marry us during lent.

Thank god! I was afraid we would have to have an afternoon reception on a Sunday which neither FH or I want. I could make out with both of you right now!
