Next, yes, $15K is totally doable for 125 people!! And while the KofC is fine, you don't have to have it there just to stay within that budget. There are a ton of places that have package deals (Brentwood CC, Stewart Manor CC, Holbrook CC... I know there are more) that will get you in for under that amount.

Re: Advice on Budget---HELP!!! sorry it's long!
Not sure about the word 'Budget' anymore....when I started planning my wedding, the budget went out the window.... But there are lots of places in Long Island that you can be able to have something wonderful and intimate. The more guests, the more $$$ you have to spend. Also, if you are a little flexible with the date, you might be able to find a place that you both love. Don't despair....I'm quite sure everything will be fine because after all, everything works for the best of everyone involved in the end !!! Happy Searching and let us know.

There's also Marconi Manor in Islip. We also looked at Brentwood Country Club--it is very nice for the price! The important thing is you are getting married--the planning and agreeing part almost broke us up, so it is important to remember why you are doing all this! Good luck!

My advice to you is make sure you think of everything. Don't forget to budget tipping, wedding cameras, make up and hair trials. All that stuff adds up! Try, Try , Try to keep the list down. I have been battling my list from day one and beleive me it has been a fight!
Good Luck. You might want to also try the Middle Ilsand Country Club. I was seriously going to book there. It is cozy and the food was pretty good. You can have your coctail hour looking over the golf course.
Holbrook Country Club does a good job too.

Our budget was 15K too and we are having 125 people and we are at the Watermill. We did nto get fancy limos or a lot of flowers to get the hall we wanted. Our budget has gone over a little bit, but mainly because we picked some of the more expensive vendors for things we felt were inmportant.
You can have a GREAT wedding for 15K and dont let anyone tell you otherwise! P.s Our 15K includes our 9 day HM to Costa Rica in two 4 Star hotels as well...so YES it can be done!

Check out the watermill they are pretty reasonable. Also look into having an off season wedding, (Jan, feb, march, april). Many places will give you a pretty good discount.

If you are looking for a hall there is suppose to be a REALLY nice Knights of Columbus in Northport or East Northport???
Also Sandcastles and Coral House I found to be really affordable. Even East Wind Caterers was. Sept is a very popular month to get married, it's much cheaper if you can wait until Oct or winter months.

I went to a christening at the Oceanside K of C a few years ago. I liked it a lot and would have been fine with holding my wedding there but FH said no.
