I was going to say KoC, because you were really excited about it yesterday. But from what you just wrote, it looks like the SMCC offers you a lot more options and space. Why dont you and FI sit down and make a pro/con list and see what you come up with.

I would pick SMCC for the reasons you listed.

I think you already know the answer. If you could afford SMCC then I would go for it there. If you are really into saving more $$$ for the wedding, then go with KofC. You have 2 great options and it is just one of those....'Let's put the money on the table and see what we can afford' decisions.

Which place will give you the best for your money?

Good Luck and I am sure whichever you choose will be great!

My vote is for SMCC. IMO I would feel better knowing that my wedding is going to be handled by people that handle weddings alot. I don't know much about KofC so maybe they do do a lot of weddings.

If you can afford it I would go with SMCC - I think if you really had your heart set on KofC this wouldn't be an issue.

I've never been to either so I don't want to vote. Do you have any pictures of the places? Do they have websites? I always thoguht KofC halls were meeting places where you could rent them to have a party and bring in your own food and looked similar to a church basement. This is obviously not the case from what you said. Post a pic!

i am totally biased but i voted for SMCC. the hall is beautiful and its not like any other reception hall i have ever been to. its set back far from the road and there are no major roadways that pass in front of it (no offense to those at jericho terrace or floral terrace, this is just a fact not a put down) fh & i went to smcc and did not need to go to any other halls. and we know we got a great price. fm me if you want to compare. good luck!

SMCC was one of the places I was very interested in, but my date was not available. I would go with them.

So FH and I went to Stewart Manor CC last night. Man, it was nice! And we got a really good price that stays well within our budget.

So I'm torn...SMCC is a little nicer than the KofC in Seaford. The grounds are good for pictures. And the cocktail hour is held in its own room. It's also closer to the church.

But the KofC is really affordable and nice. No real place for pictures outdoors, cocktail hour is in the dining room.

Any opinions?

I think you answered your own question in this post...

ETA: I'm glad you liked SMCC, by the way! This is a good problem to have - could be the other way around, that you hate everything within your budget!
