Re: 2nd job question
I waitress one night a week, usually Sunday night from 4 or 5 until 9 or 10. Most if the time it is $100 or more in tips, plus $3.30 an hour.

Re: 2nd job question
I have a 2nd job. I have been doing it for about a year now. I started of working 3 evenings a week and Sat. Now I do 2 evenings and a Sat. But its a lot! I am always tired and feel like I am never ever home. I work in an office returning calls and emails. And keeping the books current.

Re: 2nd job question
Is it difficult for someone with no waitressing experience to get a job in the city?

Re: 2nd job question
not really, my sister was able to do it by starting out as a hostess first. My cousins lied and said they did have experience, and just gave the names of some little staten island resturants. I wish I could wait tables in the city, but DH won't let me take the ferry home that late. My brother runs a resturant in the east village, his wait staff breaks 150 during lunch and 200 on nights. a great place to start is battery park, that chevy's is always hiring. or hosting at planet hollywood then switch over to serving. you can def get in waitressing, bartending is a whole dif story hth

Re: 2nd job question

Re: 2nd job question
I do free-lance rendering and interior design on the side for firms, in addition to my full time interior design position. It is off and on so sometimes its everynight for thre or more hours per night at home, and on weekends, and sometimes I don't do any extra work for a few months straight.
