Is there anyway you can sit down with your Mom and see if you can clear the air? It isn't fair that you have to be put in this situation with everything you are already doing but is there anyway that she would listen?

Yup the invitations are out already and the shower is this weekend!!! I know my sister really dosent want to take our money but she may have no choice. I already put her daughters bm dress on my CC and she hasnt been able to pay me back for that
My mom is really thick headed and I dont know if the fighting is an excuse or maybe she dosent even have the money herself???

Oh, I'm so sorry that you are going through this already. I don't mean to sound tacky but after the wedding, some brides get a good sum of money to replenish their savings account and maybe you could give your Mom's portion of what she said she would pay to your sister or if you wind up having to have to pay the portion, your mom may just pay you that way. Some mom's just don't realize the impact they have on people and I'm so sorry your family is going through this, especially now!

I'm so sorry to hear! Maybe your sister will be able pay you back before the wedding?

My BP except fsil is ridiculously cheap, they probably haven't contirbuted anything to my bridal shower. But thank goodness for my mom and sister (moh) if it weren't for them I'd probably have nothing.

I am sooo sorry for your situation!!! This is something you are supposed to be excited about having, but you had to be put in the drama of it. Maybe you can cut down on the food and just serve dessert!! JK.

A little side 'shower' drama....I will never forget when I was in my cousin's wedding and was living out of state, one of her bms called me to tell me that I 'owed' 175 for her bridal shower (which I wasn't able to attend because I lived out of state). This girl wasn't even her MOH!!! I was only 19 and appalled that she was asking so much being that it was held in my cousin's own house, and the girl had made the cake herself! All they did was order some food for about 20 people from ground round. My parents had to give the money for me! It still disgusts me to this day!!!

Sorry for babbering, but back to you!! I am sure your party will be wonderful, and I hope that your mom and sister are able to clear things up before the party!! Can't wait to hear about it!!!
